When we, as a company, really thought about why we wake up everyday and come to work with enthusiasm, we realized we truly have a Passion for what we do. We’re not just earning a paycheck, wiring panels, or building control systems. We’re actually helping to build machines that feed people, clean the air we breathe, move the water we drink, and convey products we’ve purchased. The challenge of doing so day in and day out and working to be globally recognized for this takes Passion and Perseverance. So far, we have persevered for 50+ years!
A very good book on this subject is titled, “Grit – The Power of Passion and Perseverance” by Angela Duckworth. In the book, she makes the case that passion combined with perseverance leads to greater levels of success and accomplishment than just pure talent.
