Founded in 1970 as Hegwood Electric Service, Inc., Gene Hegwood provided quality electrical services to customers across several industries. As the company grew and Kirk Hegwood became involved, the focus became an Automation and Controls company that provides not only
products, but solutions for their customers.

Kirk Hegwood
Kirk is President of Hegwood Automation and Controls. He grew
up working in the family business and received a B.S. in M.E.T. from Southern Polytechnic.
Chris Dyar
Chris is Vice President of Hegwood Automation and Controls. A graduate of UGA, BSAE – Mechanical, GSU MBA, and Six Sigma Black Belt.
Chris Spivey
Chris is Manager of Automation Engineering and a graduate of GT with a B.S. in Computer Engineering, M.S. in Electrical Engineering, and an E.E.T. from Southern Polytechnic.
Shoji Stark
Shoji is Manager of Manufacturing
Operations. With a background in
service and manufacturing, he
keeps the shop production running.
Donna Anglin
Donna is our Accounting and General Administration Manager. She has been a valuable employee of Hegwood Automation and Controls since 1992.
Will Howel
Will, a native of Rome, GA, is a
graduate of KSU Engineering.
Besides electrical control
experience, he's had years of
hands-on mechanical work and
control fabrication.
Philip Burke
Philip is a Georgia native and Athens Tech graduate. He has years of electrical, system integration, and conveyor installation experience. Philip is one of our Project Managers and does an excellent job working with customers to make their projects a success.
Carmen Hegwood
Carmen Hegwood is in charge of
Purchasing. As a graduate of
Manhattan College in computer
engineering, her technical
background is a tremendous help.
Angelina Krause
Angel handles the purchasing for all our projects. With great attention to detail and constant communication with engineers and vendors, she ensures our jobs are set for success.
FABRICATORS / SHIPPING RECEIVING
Greg Anglin
Greg is our Shop Lead. He has been a valued part of the team since he was in high school. Greg is a skilled panel builder and does an excellent job training new employees.
Erick Montoya
Airforce Staff Sergeant and graduate of Wiregrass Georgia Technical College, Erick is our Shipping & Receiving Manager.
Nico Boris
Boris works in shipping and receiving and helps keep our stockroom in order. He is a graduate of the Naval Academy of Venezuela. When not at work Boris enjoys kayaking.
Melinda Brunson
Melinda is our accounts payable assistant. With a degree in BioScience Technology, her love of math and empirical research has led her down the path of accounting where she finds joy working with numbers.
Taylor Yost
Taylor is a native of Norcross, GA and has been in the electrical industry since 2011. He has completed a 4 Year Electrical Apprenticeship Program with the IEC. Taylor is our QC lead.
Dean Hayles
Dean has a background as an electrician and training with the I.E.C. He is a quick study and knowledgeable fabricator. He's our lead CNC operator and a QC backup.
Joseph Trillo
Joe is a native of Norcross, GA. He is a graduate of the aviation Institute of Maintenance and does excellent work on highly technical panels.
Julio Colmenares
Julio attended Santa Maria University in Venezuela where he studied Industrial Engineering. He has over 5 years of panel building experience and enjoys building some of our larger jobs.
Pablo Pena
Pablo is a graduate of UNERG in Venezuela where he studied Systems Engineering. He has 8+ years of experience in the fabrication of electrical and control panels.
Luisiana Pinto
Luisiana is a native of Venezuela where she attended UNEFA for Software Engineering. Since childhood she has loved to build things and is meticulous in her attention to detail.
David Sanz
David attended IUTPEC in Venezuela where his specialty was Instrumentation Engineering. He has 10+ years of experience in the oil instrumentation industry.
